2018 Toronto Design Offsite Festival

2018 Toronto Design Offsite Festival

Commerce Court played host to the Annual IIDEX Woodshop, an exhibit of innovative prototypes made from reclaimed urban wood, and the Urban Wood Forum, which showcased wood utilization in the urban context as part of the 2018 Toronto Design Offsite Festival (TODO) in January.

IIDEX Woodshop has become the place to shocase how wood, a valuable and sustainable resource, can be repurposed to create innovative, market-ready commercial and consumer prototypes. Throughout the week of January 15, tenants and visitors viewed and enjoyed winning designs in the West Lobby, and learned more about the urban wood industry in Ontario.

The 3rd annual Urban Wood Forum, which took place January 16m, featured experts presenting on the connection between urban intensification, wood design and climate change in the Concourse Lounge, and a post-forum reception in the West Lobby. A fantastic time was had by all guests!
