Floor Wardens Training

The safety and security of our tenants, the physical complex and all those who pass through each day is the central focus of our highly trained Security and Life Safety Services team.  

Within this larger team, we also have a dedicated Fire and Safety Team whose directive includes everything related to our fire prevention strategies, floor warden programs and building evacuation plans. This team works in conjunction with complex tenants who assign Fire Wardens within their own occupied premises. Fire Wardens are trained by the Fire and Safety Team on a regular basis so they are ready in case of an emergency. 

The Ontario Fire Code requires that there be a system for the Emergency Preparedness and Response for all staff in their workplaces.  Fire Wardens (and their teams) play an important part in meeting these requirements. To facilitate this, Commerce Court has designed a comprehensive hour long presentation to ensure these teams are updated on the proper procedures to mitigate risk, quicken response times, and reduce the time needed for recovery.

All Floor Wardens, their teams and any Tenant that is interested to learn more about Emergency Procedures is requested to register for one of the upcoming training sessions
