Community Giving
Community giving at Commerce Court includes our support of charitable organizations through financial and volunteer resources. It also includes making space and resources available to groups to fundraise within the Complex.
Charity Events and Volunteering
Each year, Commerce Court joins other towers in the Financial District for the Real Estate Climb for the United Way to help raise funds for the organization. Some of the property management team members volunteer to cheer on climbers along the way, while others register as a team and participate in the climb.
Commerce Court property management teams up with tenants to volunteer and fundraise for various causes. Initiatives such as Habitat for Humanity Build Day encourage tenants and property management staff to help build a home for a local family in need.
While our charity events may vary each year, the following are a few examples of regular initiatives Commerce Court has been committed to host or participate in:
- Each October, Commerce Court hosts a Pumpkin Patch. Small to medium pumpkins feature fun and original drawings with portion of proceeds from sales going to Habitat for Humanity
- Building staff and tenants donate hundreds of bags of clothing each year for the Longest Underground Clothing Drive
and Sale in support of the Young Street Mission
Community Events
Commerce Court is a regular participant in the annual Doors Open and Nuit Blanche events. Both provide an opportunity to feature the Complex’s heritage, as well as modern structure, all while celebrating Toronto’s history, art and architecture.
Doors Open Toronto
Commerce Court Property Management and CIBC volunteers help welcome visitors to the north building each year over a weekend in May. This popular event draws hundreds of people over two days.
Nuit Blanche
Commerce Court has been a regular participant in Nuit Blanche – an annual, all night city-wide celebration of contemporary art. Artists transform an indoor or outdoor area within the Complex into an installation from dusk to dawn.
